Designed by Rainer Bachschmid, the desk light is inspired by the shape of a stork’s beak and is hence named Ciconia, the Latin name of black stork. The lamp’s base and LED head can be folded in and out like a beak. One segment comprises thirty integrated LEDs. The other segment consists of a reflecting strip made of stainless steel.
When illuminated, Ciconia floodlights the desk top. When kept folded Ciconia represents a minimalist light sculpture. It is ideal for both home decor and office products.
