Previously known as Clifford B. and Audrey Jones Stadium and Jones SBC Stadium, the newly renovated Jones AT&T Stadium facility contains a state-of-the-art press box, luxury suites and club seating. Concourses have been added on both sides of the stadium and new concession areas and rest rooms have also been created. The final look on the stadium follows the Spanish Renaissance architecture, which is seen throughout the campus.
The $20 million press box and stadium club seats project added 500 club seats and 26 new suites. A few new accents have also been added offering a new look to the stadium.
Jones AT&T is the home field of the Texas Tech Red Raiders football team of the Big 12 Conference. Texas Tech Board of Regents had announced the expansion project on 7 August 2008, which included a Spanish Renaissance-themed façade to the east side of the stadium. Texas Tech allocated a total of $19 million to the expansion and added another $6 million through fund-raising initiatives.
