The new Uniqlo store spanning 12,700 square feet is designed to provide an element of theatre for customers. Two rectangular screens on pillars placed on either side of the entrance are designed as an inviting welcome element for customers. The pillars also flash colours and bright lights, creating a vibrant and vivid atmosphere.

The shop is equipped with a range of monitors displaying the different Uniqlo fashions, brands and latest marketing videos. The building features a second floor of retail space. The two floors are linked by mezzanine, while space is left at the front of the shop to create the feeling of height and enhance the drama.

Uniqlo’s first store outside of London was opened on 2 October 2010 at Bluewater’s Upper Thames Walk. The store is located near the site of the Bluewater Events Venue, the 55,000 square feet purpose-built events and exhibition space currently under construction.
