The renovation project of the dormitory is fifth among the six series of renovations for the Kittredge dorm community. The college dorm is being renovated to combine better campus living and learning. The newly built dorm will house seminar-style classrooms and faculty apartment. About 2,500 floor space will be added to the existing 71,797-square-foot student residential hall, according to the renovation plan. The residence hall’s building was originally constructed in 1892.

The last of the series of renovation will be on the Kittredge Common, which will be replaced with a new building that can house 250 beds. The renovation will begin in May 2012 and is expected to complete by August 2013.
