The 57,000 square feet center will feature two basketball practice courts, team locker rooms for players and coaches and an athletic medicine area. This athletic medicine area will be equipped with hydrotherapy.
The second floor of the Basketball Player Development Center is designed to accommodate the men’s and women’s coaching staffs and administrative support. It will feature film-viewing rooms and strength and conditioning space. A Michigan basketball Hall of Fame area will be created in the entry lobby.
The project, funded by private donations and athletic department resources, is expected to be completed in late 2011.
