The 1976 arena was originally the Centennial Hall which has undergone a revamp in 2008 with creation of the Sullivan Complex. Upgrades have been carried out in the facility’s playing arena with creation of new locker rooms, a training room spanning 3,000 square feet and a 6,000 square feet weight room following the facelift.
The building imbibes various sustainable features such as installation of new efficient boilers and a hot water system to substitute electrical heating elements below the basketball court. Further, the facility is designed in such a way so as to optimise passage of natural light which in turn slashes energy consumption.
The arena is equipped with advanced control applications to benefit system operations. It includes carbon dioxide sensors which help in operating the air handlers to improve the quality of indoor air. Also, motion sensors have been installed across the entire facility to facilitate light and temperature control.
