The renovation project has upgraded the complete 18-hole championship golf course designed by golf architect Tom Fazio to USGA specifications. The golf course now features all new heat- and salt-tolerant 007 bentgrass greens, complete re-build of the fairway and greenside bunkers, updated bridges and an expanded practice facility with seven target greens, a practice bunker and putting green.

The renovation project was funded by Two Rivers Country Club without any member dues assessments. North Carolina-based Spence Golf was the general contractor of the project.

Located in the private community of Governor’s land at Two Rivers, the par 72 golf course has received various accolades in the past for its high caliber of play and unmatched natural beauty. The course overlooks 1,000 yards of river frontage along the James and Chickahominy Rivers in Williamsburg.

Apart from golf, the private community of Governor’s Land at Two Rivers offers accessible deep-water marina, six clay tennis courts and four all-weather courts, swimming pools, fitness centre, 10 miles of walking trails, and clubhouse.
