The design of the new store will feature a customer-friendly design with features such as alignment of departments most visited by customers. The facility will also imbibe a host of green features. It includes installation of skylights to harvest daylight. This will reduce daily energy usage for lighting by a maximum of 75%. The building will also be equipped with LED lighting fixtures which will further reduce energy consumption by 70% over traditional fluorescent lighting.

The entire facility will be fitted with concrete floor which will cut down requirement of chemical cleaners. It will also incorporate low-flow toilets and no-touch faucets to slash water usage. In addition, the store will carry out a recycling programme while boosting purchase of eco-friendly products.

The new store is due to open on 14 March 2012.
