The stores are located at 6420 Petrie Way in Rosedale and 8118 Perry Hills Court in Nottingham. The expanded stores have wider aisles and improved layout, which makes shopping easy for the customers.
The expansion was also aimed at making the store more environment conscious. The energy-efficient technology and sustainable initiatives at the store will bring about a reduction in energy and water consumption and waste production.
The store as well as its parking lot are now illuminated by LED lighting, which in comparison with traditional fluorescent lighting, is 70% more energy efficient. The bathrooms have low-flow toilets and faucets, which bring about significant water saving.
The two stores together will employ about 300 people, including 170 new jobs.
