The plans include installation of an artificial turf on the existing football field. The improvement and renovation to the football field and stadium involves addition of a new press box, bleachers and a new parking area. The renovation is expected to make the field adaptable to be used within few hours of rain.

The proposed stadium facility would be about 70 feet tall and will run almost the entire length along the side of the existing football field. The metal bleachers on the visitor’s side will be moved to the other side of the field to increase seating for visitors.

Chair seating and overhead cover will be featured at the middle section with the new restrooms and a new concessions area located on the bottom level. The second level will feature a VIP area, which can be used for school events and other functions. The third level would include a press box and a fully enclosed VIP seating, while the fourth level will feature an area for game spotters.

The facility is named after Benny Parsons, the famous American NASCAR driver and an alumina of the West Wilkes High School.
