The first phase of the guestroom and suite renovation at the historic luxury Willard InterContinental on the Pennsylvania Avenue has been completed. The renovation scheme has retained the hotel’s original design which is a combination of the American Federal and Empire style designs of the early 19th century. The 335 guestrooms and 40 suites are now incorporated with historic materials and modern amenities. The new guestroom is designed to blend with the style of the other historic areas of the hotel, incorporating a bright and contemporary feel for the 21st century guest.

Hotel’s suites named Jefferson, Washington, Adams, Lincoln, and Oval suites are designed to display unique themes with different color palette and furniture. The John Adams Suite’s design has been inspired by the serene gardens located on Capitol Hill. The Thomas Jefferson Suite is presidential in size and is designed to make the guests feel like a royalty. The spacious suite features an expanded dressing area, gown closet and dressing table.

The Willard InterContinental is managed by InterContinental Hotels Group since 1986. The hotel is owned by Willard Associates.
