The facility is home to the College of Idaho’s Coyote baseball team as well as Caldwell American Legion. Work in the stadium will include installation of individual chair-backed seats with a capacity to house 1,000, improved lighting facilities, a pair of covered batting cages as well as an indoor hitting facility.
Plans are also on for creation of a press box, concession stands, restrooms, a landscaped courtyard in addition to banners in honour of five Caldwell, American Legion and College of Idaho players.
The facility’s infield is already fitted with an artificial turf surface as part of the project’s initial phase while incorporating natural grass in the outfield. The project is due for completion in 2013.
