Timeless Opulence

Monks Lantern is a very large house built in the classical style on the Crown Estate, St George’s Hill, Weybridge Surrey. Environmental responsibility and sustainability are prerequisites when developing this sort of luxury property with materials that will last for generations a must. The performance and longevity of stone both internally and externally fulfil these requirements perfectly.

The book-matched slabs of Calacatta Vagli are used to stunning effect in the master bathroom, while the ensuite was tiled with St Moritz marble.

A Lasting First Impression

Beautiful large size Thala Beige polished limestone tiles were laid throughout the main entrance hall, up the main staircase and on the landing floors.  The same stone was waterjet cut to form a circular motif on the raised part of the entrance hall floor.

Thala Beige limestone was also fitted to the upstairs landings; while the back staircase, kitchen/family room floors and the lower ground floor/pool area floors were tiled using Grigio Perla limestone sandblasted to give it a lovely granular finish.

Two contrasting islands were fitted in the kitchen: the first was in polished Caesarstone Oyster with a sharks nose edge, the second was in Bianco Eclipsia Quartzite.

The pool area floor was tiled in the same sandblasted Grigio Perla giving extra grip, and one wall was clad with Moss Green slate adding a pleasing contrast.
