stoneCIRCLE started working on the Harrods’ refurbishment about 8 years ago, when they were commissioned to supply and install a marble staircase for the Fine Watch Room for which they were highly commended in the Natural Stone Awards, and have been working with the company ever since.
The second project in which they were involved was the refitting of the Harrods’ Beauty Hall which featured luxurious marble throughout. Designed by G.A. Group as a modern interpretation of a “Great House”, the work took place in two phases and included inlaid marble floors, pieces of furniture and display cabinets in marble and onyx, a grand staircase, and marble cladding for the walls.
The next phase was the Menswear department, designed by David Collins Studio, for which they supplied art deco inspired inlaid marble floors and display cabinets. They worked with the same designer for Shoe Heaven, where again they supplied inlaid floors, wall cladding and plinths for the shoes.
This was then followed by the restaurant floor and the restroom vanities for the Studio Franzén restaurant designed by Joyn Studio.
The Hermes and Gucci boutiques, Lingerie, By Appointment, Holiday and Occasion Rooms and the Georgian Tea Rooms all followed, and they are now working on the Superbrands and Women’s Designer Collection.
All materials are sourced in Italy during visits by the client team and Steve Vanhinsbergh, one of stoneCIRCLE’s directors. stoneCIRCLE scan the marble for the walls, columns and counters and then matching the veins to produce the very best results.
